Our Living Room

Here are a few paintings I did years ago that have been promoted to our living room.  One is a copy of a Cezanne (take a guess), the vase of flowers was a favorite composition I found of a contemporary artist online and made an attempt at rendering it in oil.  The tea service with cherries is another favorite of mine based on a photo I found online.

Sunrise on Lake Cuomo

Last year I finally delivered on a promise to paint a harbor scene for my mom. It took me a couple of years to get inspired and with the pandemic I found some time to do this painting based on a photo I took at Lake Cuomo, Italy. I also included a few photos such as a color study to illustrate a bit about my processs.

Tulips from the garden

These tulips are from our garden. I wanted highly saturated and chromatic colors to match some stem vases we have.

Capturing the light of Pigeon Point Lighthouse

10 roses for a 100 years

My grandmother in-law, Polina, turned 100 in March of this year.  I painted these 10 red roses for her to celebrate the occasion.

Quaint library in Paso Robles

Spent a few days in Paso Robles and while waiting for my beloved wife, Katya, to finish her shopping I did a quick sketch of the library.
